Handcrafted Tiger Maple Wood Tatting Shuttle
Please click the photo for a zoom view.

Dave crafted this 3 1/4 inch tatting shuttle from a piece of beautiful Tiger Maple. I think you can see why its called Tiger Maple. The patterns seem to change with the different angles of the light hitting it. Dave also went through my stash of vintage buttons and found one that looked like a little piece of tatting, so he carved a recess and inset it into this shuttle. If you'd like to view more photos of this stunning tatting shuttle, please visit the Ebay auction listing.
