5 1/4 Inch Myrtlewood Knotting Tatting Shuttle with Pyrography

 Dave has used pyrography, or burn etching, to adorn both sides of this large myrtlewood knotting tatting shuttle.  This beautiful fiber art tool measures 5 1/4 inches in length, and 1 1/2 inches in width.  An additional photo can be found in the Etsy shop listing for this lace making tool.

Dave hand made and carved this large bone knotting shuttle. It is 4 5/8 inches long and 1 ¼ inches wide. It has been initialed and dated by Dave.

Unfinished Tatting Knotting Shuttle


Here's another new handmade fiber art tool for our "Grizzly Mountain Cache" Etsy shop!

Dave made these wood knotting shuttles and left them unfinished so you can decorate them yourself! These large 5"x 1 5/8" knotting shuttles were used in the Victorian era to make strands of knotted rope that would then be sewn onto embroidery pieces. They were such a status symbol that the ladies would carry them around as a fashion accessory!
