Handcrafted Pyro-Art Tatting Shuttle

Dave has handcrafted this 2 5/8 inch tatting shuttle from Strata-Bond, which is layers of birch wood that have been resin impregnated and bonded together under high pressure. It is very dense and moisture resistant and has no varnish, shellac, wax or other type finish to wear away. It has only been fine sanded and buffed to a gloss finish. He has burn etched a rose design on one side. This tatting shuttle has been initialed and dated by Dave and is currently up for auction on Ebay

Handcarved Cherry Wood Cord Braiding Lucet

Dave hand crafted this palm size lucet out of Cherry wood and has adorned it with a rose and leaf carving. It is 4 inches long by 2 inches wide and has been initialed and dated by Dave.

This smaller lucet is just right for small hands and finer cord braiding. A lucet fork is an ancient tool dating back to the Viking era. It is used for braiding cord. Lucet cord can be used for draw-string such as for bags or purses, decorative edging, and any other use where strong cord is needed.

Vintage Rose Button Needle Minder

Dave and I have been trying to come up with a line of lower priced fiber art tools to sell in our Etsy.com shop. Knowing the popularity of all things vintage, we thought we would combine the two!

We made this delicate little rose needle minder from a gorgeous vintage button. We drilled a recess in the back of the button and inlayed a rare earth magnet inside.

Dave inlayed another rare earth magnet into a beautiful piece of dymondwood that he turned on the lath. Together, these beauties will "mind" your needle conveniently on your project!

This needle minder is for sale at our Etsy.com shop for $7.50. If you would like to view this item, please click the link below.
